Simple Christmas Vignette

Remember my Missoni pumpkin patch?  In case you don’t……

Well, I made a simple change and now it’s Christmas!

So easy!  The only somewhat special thing I did was to wrap some $.99 candles from Hob Lob in what I like to call Santa fur.

Just a little bit of hot glue is all you need.  The fur was also purchased at Hob Lob; it’s in the doll making supplies aisle (in case you want some Santa fur of your own).  These wrapped candles would make great teacher or hostess gifts!

I love the soft texture.  You will obviously want to let some of the glass show at the top of the candle,  mainly for safety reasons.  I’m pretty sure that fur would go up in smoke quite fast if it met that flame.

To make sure the little bulls that live in our china closet don’t accidentally knock these down, I used a little of this stuff.

It looks a little like chewed up gum (yuck) but it’s working so far.

I love simplicity.  This is the kind of decorating that is easy and fun!  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!
Is it starting to look like Christmas in your home too?!
