I used many of the same elements that I used on our mantel last year with a few new additions.
I let White Beauty borrow my new Gap scarf. I’ll get it back from her on December 26th. 😉 The trees are new. I couldn’t resist checking out the Christmas decor aisle at Target and absolutely fell in love with their sweet sort of sparse look. They look like little Charlie Brown trees to me. I topped them with a couple of star tree toppers I’ve had for years. The joy wreath I made last year is on the mantel this year.
I’m using only fresh greenery this year, mostly from our backyard, and I added in a few pine cones from my abundant stash. The pillar candles were wrapped with that same wrapping paper I used on the votives in the breakfast room.
The gold chain from the hardware store I used as garland on our tree last year is strung between the stockings this year. I love the little bit of sparkle its adds to the mantel.
I love this special time of year! Are your stockings hung yet?
Don’t forget – there’s still time to enter!
