Well, I went with option number 1, Olympic Moonstone, and I added a little beadboard wallpaper to the vanity area.
I’m loving the clean classic look of the beadboard. I fell in love with that paper when I was working on the mudroom and just knew I wanted to use it again somewhere in our house. The kids bathroom seemed like the perfect place. I really like the way it looks hung horizontally in a small space; it makes the space feel more open.
I’d like to pat myself on the back for using this macdaddy saw to cut the moulding I added!
You have no idea how cool I feel to be using this saw. I’m still learning…….and caulk is my bff. 😉 But all in all, the moulding went up supa-fast (much faster than cutting with a handsaw like I did in the mudroom) and is perfect for towel hooks!
I’m not even close to being done with this bathroom makeover project, but it feels good to be making progress. Baby steps are better than no steps right?
See I told you – I have a long way to go. I’ve yet to paint the beadboard paper around the vanity. And I’ve not yet added the moulding on that side because I plan to tile the wall above the vanity first. Thanks to The Tile Shop I picked out the most beautiful hexagon tile and can’t wait to get started on the next phase of this project!
So what about you, do you work in baby steps or giant strides?
Just wait 'til you start using the wet saw, then you'll feel super cool! I tiled my kiddos bathroom walls last week, whew, that was a job. Yours is looking great. Keep it up!
