newest obsession – watercolor prints

Hey friends!  I know a lot of you all are on instagram, so you’ve probably seen your fair share of pics featuring the new Waterlogue app.  I’m not usually a bandwagoner.  But in the case of this new app………I’m happily riding that wagon!  This isn’t a sponsored post.  This is me shouting my love from the rooftops………because that’s what blogging is about right?!

So this app is awesomeness and I’m not afraid to say it.  It’s for iphones, iPads, and iPods which is the only bummer – for those with android – sorry for your loss.  It’s easy as pie to use.  You literally just upload a pic…….

I mean really?!  What’s not to love?!
After seeing my girl Courtney’s framed watercolors I immediately ordered a bunch of prints using the Printicular app I’ve blabbed about a million times before.

The print quality is really great, and I plan to order larger sized prints of a few next time around.  These were all 4 x 6’s.
I also had some fun with a few of my favorite instagram pics and love how they turned out printed in a 4 x 4 size.  I layered a few over scrapbook paper and framed them to hang in my girl’s room.

I also had some fun adding text to a few photos using the Over app

So that’s my newest obsession.  What’s yours?  One day probably very soon we’ll be using our phones to make dinner, fold laundry and clean our houses……….at least a girl can dream right?!

  • I'm obsessed too, Carmel! I just ordered a poster to frame, I'm dying with excitement!!
All your pictures are gorgeous, I love the family one in Hawaii! and the ones you framed for your sweet pea's room…..so adorable!

  • Ahh, man! I was hoping it'd be a free app. I guess $2.99 isn't too bad… I have been seeing a lot of people post these watercolor pics on IG lately, it is all the craze! Love the one of your family from Hawaii!

  • I downloaded that printicular app after reading your post about it. I live within one mile of a Walgreens. I chose a bunch of pictures to print, but when I went to order tham, it kept bringing up a Walgreens one hour away, and try as I might I could not pull up my local store. So I never have printed out the pictures. I was bummed, and since it is an app, I didn't know who to contact about it.

  • I started playing with this app about 2 days ago and I can't stop! It's amazing! I just downloaded the printicular app and chose a few Waterlogue pictures. Just picked them up and they're so glossy. Are yours glossy? Feel a matte finish would look more like a watercolor.

  • The 4 x6 's were glossy but the 4 x4's were more matte. I think they use a slightly different type of paper to print the square pics. But once the 4 x6 was behind glass in a frame you couldn't even tell that it had a glossy finish. I'm planning to order a canvas print of our family pic – I'll let you all know how it turns out.

  • I would call your local Walgreens and ask them about it. I think to print the 4×4 size they have to have a certain type of equipment in the photo lab so that might be why your local one isn't listed. But call them to make sure – because it could also be that you need to update your app so it will show you all the locations.

  • I just found this! I want to try it but you have to have the latest version of iOS and every time I upgrade…bad things happen. So I am scared but I might have to brave it. Who really needs all those phone contacts? 😉

  • I've been trying with all my might NOT to go there with this app, but you are making it super hard. Its just so cool. I can see many gallery walls happening because of it too:) They are going to look awesome in your daughters room.
