Hi friends, and welcome to week four of the One Room Challenge! I can’t believe we’re at the halfway point already! Do you remember last week when I shared my plans to tile the porch floor? Well, my amazing tile guy finished the project on Monday, and this black and white hexagon porch floor is literally everything!

I can’t love it more! The hexagon tiles make these classic black and white stripes feel so fresh.

You might remember that I had three potential tile layouts I was considering last week. I ultimately decided to go with stripes, my first option, because it was the layout I had in mind when I ordered the tile. And I find whenever I’m struggling with indecision that it’s best to go with my first choice and just trust my initial gut instinct

But also, I think stripes really are the best fit for the overall style of our home. This pattern feels so fun and fresh but still very classic.

These 10-inch hexagon tiles have an authentic matte marble look but are durable porcelain.

In addition to tiling the porch, he also knocked out the bar backsplash in the library! How amazing is this antique mirror bevel subway tile?!

What is the One Room Challenge?!
The ORC is an online interior design event, organized by Linda Weinstein, where 20 Featured Designers and hundreds of other Guest Participants transform a room of their choice in just 8 weeks. With Better Homes & Gardens as the media sponsor, this biannual challenge is always brimming with design inspiration. Not only does this event inspire and motivate, but it also creates a supportive creative community. I’m always blown away by the spaces created each season, so it’s an absolute honor to be counted as a Featured Designer this fall!
