Ok, so I know it’s totally corny, but seriously when you’ve moved as many times as we have, 6 times in 10 years, then that old saying – there’s no place like home – just totally takes on a whole new meaning! We always knew we wanted to end up back in Lexington, Kentucky…….after 10 years of being away, I kind of forgot why we moved away in the first place?! Oh – now I remember – just a little thing……. I think it’s called a job?! Yes, that would be Brad’s job. He’s been in sales all these years, and we’ve moved around in a sort of climb-the-ladder via moving around from state-to-state kind of way. We started out in Lexington, Kentucky then moved to Richmond, Virginia then onward to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and then back to where the bluegrass grows!
While I was born and raised in Southern California, I’ve had a love affair with the southeast since I met Brad, who is from Lexington. I love it here; from the all four seasons weather, to the absolutely breath-takingly beautiful horse farms, to last but not least the insanely delicious southern cuisine. Apart from all the reasons we’re both glad to be back, we’re mainly just glad to be “settled”.
I’m not saying we’ll NEVER move again, just that we don’t have any plans to move anywhere anytime soon! We’ve learned that home isn’t just a place, it’s a feeling; so no matter where we are as long as we’re together, we are home. And while we know that not all who wander are lost, we sure are glad that our own “wandering” phase is over……..for now. So here’s a picture of our fifth house!
Welcome! The unpacking is done! Let the decorating begin!!!!!
