Pinterest is like crack. You want to just say NO – like Nancy Reagan told you so but you just can’t help yourself. It’s soooooo addicting! It’s fun and everybody is doing it 🙂 Seriously, sometimes it’s ok to be a follower. No peer pressure or anything, but for realz you should join the party! I’ll send you an invite if you need one; just let me know.
For those of you that may not know what Pinterest is (ummmm, hello, you may want to come out from under that boulder you’re living under), it’s this amazing site where you can basically catalog (or pin) images of things you love that inspire you. The sky’s the limit and it’s so easy to use.
I’ve created an inspiration board for my family room. Here’s a peek.
I’m inspired by these colors in nature.
Red, blue, brown, and white – classic, stunning, timeless.
Red and navy with gold accents! Hello casual chic.
A gallery wall on a rich red background – swoon.
Mixing metals feels collected not decorated to me.
Equestrian chic – enough said. I love the look of this horse – thinking cowhide may be a nice addition to the room.
Chalkboard paint with red feels fun and whimsical.
These words really spoke to me. I want this room to feel like this. The perfect room to waste time loving my family – just hanging out with family and friends, drinking wine or capri suns, playing UNO a million times, crocheting something special in the corner, perusing glossies with coffee, blogging at night, vegging out with a movie and some chips and salsa, just wasting time in all the best ways possible!
FYI – I’ve noticed lots of bloggers posting pics from Pinterest and not adding the original source to the picture. All you need to do to post the pic and give credit to the original source is click “embed” on the picture you pinned. Then just copy and paste the code to your blog and it will give the link back to the original source under the picture like you see in all of the above pics.
Have you been pinning anything lately? Feeling inspired? Does this board look like a Ralph Lauren commercial to you? 🙂 Ha- ha! He’s one of my favorites. Classic. Timeless. Perfection! For me anyway.
Carmel,
Thank you for the tip on embedding on Pinterest! I have been posting pictures and sometimes ended up with the source… sometimes not! Now to go check and see what can be done to correct all of them! Thanks! Love your inspiration!!
