Want to see my very first set of kitchen chairs?

They’re covered in an outdoor vinyl here. They used to be covered in a purple plaid when they lived in our 2nd house, then red and yellow toile in our 3rd. These babies have some history. 🙂 |
That is one of four. We sold the round glass-topped table that matched this set years ago, but we hung onto the chairs. We have used them in our outdoor dining area for the past 4 or 5 years. I actually got a new set of outdoor dining chairs for Mother’s Day this year; so I decided to use a couple of these chairs as plant stands. Not without giving them a new look first with the help of Rustoleum’s Heirloom White.
I kept two of them to use as extra outdoor seating. I sprayed them with Rustoluem’s Navy.

The chairs with the pillows are my new ones from BB&B. I love them! |
Painting chairs led to painting urns. Funny how that happens huh?!
These urns we’ve had forever and I was bored with them. I took a cue from The Nester and decided to spray them blue. I used this paint and love the result.
So, anyone else getting their spray paint on this summer?
P.S. Jena at Involving Color added my dining room to her inspiration galleries! Head over to check it out now. She’s featured some great rooms that you won’t want to miss and I’m beyond flattered she included me!

I love the idea of using the chair for the plant! Sometimes it is good to keep old things 🙂
