I made them!
Boom!
They were gooooood! I used a small acorn and fall leaf cookie cutter to make the holes. My family thought the acorns looked like fish. Whatev – they ate them.
They look like acorns and leaves to me. I used powdered sugar instead of cinnamon sugar. We ate them outside on Saturday morning, so it wouldn’t look like it snowed on my kitchen table. 😉 The weather was perfect for an outside breakfast! These donuts were so easy to make.
Apparently I grew up eating these donuts-made-from-Pillsbury-biscuits and I didn’t even remember. Yeah, my mom was like, “My friend used to make those for you all the time!” Shows you how much I actually paid attention to what was going on in the kitchen.
Anyhow, these homemade donuts took all of about 20 minutes start to finish. I used canola oil and smart balance; you know because I’m all healthy like that. 😉 Everyone loved them!
I’m not telling how many I ate, but I will say that I’m really glad I only made one can (because I’ve got 3 more cans of biscuits in my fridge).
Okay, so make them- and hate me later. 😉
Oh yeah and I also played with some paint over the weekend too.
I’ll be back to show and tell tomorrow.
Thanks for all of your sweet comments yesterday! You all totally made my Monday!
Carmen,
I have tried to figure out how to email you but couldn't so, I need to do this publicly (sorry). My daughter/blog partner will be in Lexington next week visiting us for the holidays, and we would like to invite you to my place for tea/coffee on Tuesday morning. You are probably thinking Yikes! serial murderer, but no, I'm just a mother who has a blog with her daughter. You can check us out at http://www.the2seasons.com. Anyhow, we thought it would be fun to have a little meet and greet with you.
We've been reading you since the beginning. I know we are all busy prepping for Thanksgiving, but if you have an hour or so to stop by, let me know. Take care, Janette
