First of all, thank you so much for your sweet comments on the sneak peek of our kitchen! It is really exciting to see a room in your home transform into something you dreamed up in your head. I’m actually sitting at my kitchen table as I’m writing, and I feel so blessed! Thank you for being excited with me! I can’t wait to show you the rest!
Speaking of kitchens, let’s talk about good eats! I’m not a great cook, but I do like to eat. 🙂 I’m not creative when it comes to food, but I can follow a recipe. Thank goodness for blogs and Pinterest for providing me with lots of inspiration and instruction! I’ve recently come across a few mouth-watering recipes that I definitely plan to try, and one I’ve already tried inhaled. Warning: the following pictures will make you extremely hungry!
I found these mini apple pies on Pinterest.
Don’t they look delish?! I love this idea for parties especially! When I clicked on the source to find the recipe the link took me to a blog I had never been to before, but not to the post with this recipe. Well, after a having a look around Little Bit Funky I not only found the mini apple pie recipe, but I also found this awesomeness!
Boom! I know right?! Your mind is blown. Your mouth is watering. This is so happening in my kitchen this weekend! Like, wow, yeah in case there was any doubt, I’m now a follower of Little Bit Funky. She should call her blog – More Than A Little Bit AWESOME!
If those two recipes weren’t enough to appease your sweet tooth, there’s this.
Red velvet pancakes! Oh sweet, beautiful cakes of red, how I want to eat thee. What? You don’t speak Shakespearian to your food?
In case you’d rather drink your sugar…..
You can always make yourself a hot cup of Nutella hot chocolate like Abby did. She was also inspired by Pinterest.
While sweet stuff makes me happy, I realize I can’t live on sugar alone. Or can I? Probably not. Although just because it’s not sweet doesn’t mean it can’t be just as tasty. My real life friend and the best cook I know has started a blog, tarheelmom. She recently posted her healthy version of Mac n Cheese, so I decided to give it a try.
It was good – like really good. My son said, “Why do we even eat that blue box stuff?” Good question kid. It was easy to make and was devoured by my family. It smelled so good I had to serve the plates before I could even snap a decent photo!
If you like healthy food that actually tastes good then you will love tarheelmom’s recipes! Trust me people, the girl knows how to cook. Take it from a girl who knows how to eat. 😉
So, there you go! Can I get a collective AMEN for taste buds?! Seriously, thank you God for taste buds. They make life so sweet! 😉 Life’s too short to eat plain food – eat something that inspires you, that makes you smile. For the sake of your taste buds, make every bite count!
Have you found any new recipes lately?
Okay, now I'm hungry! Can't wait to check out the recipes and whip something up. Thanks for the inspiration.
