Hey all! I’m just dropping in really quickly today to tell you all about my new find! That’s what friends do right?! They share their great finds. So, maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I just recently found out about the iPhone app Picture Show. I found out about it from the blog –
A Beautiful Mess – which won the
best DIY blog in The Homies over at Apartment Therapy. Anyhow,
A Beautiful Mess is filled with nothing but goodness, and under the photography tab you’ll find a great many, super helpful posts on the subject. One post is all about great
iPhone photo apps hence me finding out about Picture Show. It’s not a free app, but the cost ( I think it was $1.99) is money well spent (in my opinion).
I have a “nice” camera now, but I don’t always remember or want to bring it with me. I always have my phone with me though, and being able to bust it out to capture life’s moments is one of the perks. Plus my iPhone is much smaller than my camera. Anyhow, Picture Show is fun because you can do all sorts of editing to your photos right on your phone. You don’t have to wait ’til you get home to upload and then edit; you can edit them right on your phone. It’s sort of hard to explain all that it allows you to do, but I promise it is super easy to use!
Here’s an example of what you can do. I took this self-portrait – here it is without any editing at all.
Here it is after a few seconds of editing right on my phone.
You can crop, play with the lighting, change the “effects”, add a frame, and even add text to the photo right on your phone! So. much. fun!

Did you all already know about this awesome app? If so – why didn’t you tell me about this? Go have fun taking pics on your phone! Sorry if you don’t have an iPhone. I’m not sure what’s out there for other phones, but I just had to share this for those that do.
I love instgram! Do you use that? You can basically do the same thing and what I also love about instagram is that you can link it to your FB and Twitter account to share your pictures! You have followers (like twitter), etc.. Are you already on there? I'll follow you:)
