Whenever we go on vacation somewhere I like to bring something home. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a typical, tourist-y souvenir, though I have been known to purchase a Christmas ornament with the name of the place we visited. I just like having things in my home that bring back memories.
The part of Tennessee we recently visited has many antique shops, so you know I had to pop in at least one before coming home. My hub patiently waited in the car with the kids (yes, I know he deserves an award) while I shopped. I found this soda crate for $15!
I’ve been wanting one of these for a while now but could never find one at a price I was willing to pay. I think when Pottery Barn was selling them in their catalog last year many thrift shop owners raised their prices on them. I was so thrilled to find this crate at that price! I’m using it as a centerpiece on my kitchen table to coral napkins, plates, and silverware.
It brings that casual summer vibe to the table! I am soooo ready for summer!
Do you like to bring home a little something when you go on vacation? It’s always harder to do when you’re flying somewhere. This is why I never say no to a road trip – there’s more space in the car! 😉
Happy Thursday!
This is so cute! I love how you organized some everyday items in there – great find!
