Happy Monday peeps! How was your weekend? Mine was good but went by too fast. I’m so looking forward to spring break – one more week to go – countdown starts now!
So, in my quest to get the basement party ready (for the party that never happened) I added a little stairway art. As you turn the corner from the entry foyer to head down the basement stairs you are greeted by this.
I like putting it out there. Letting people, especially the ones that live here, know exactly what the rules are.
I found this print at Urban Outfitters and had a black mat cut at Hobby Lobby to fit inside this large white frame.

Hammerpress No Whining Print |
While I was searching for the “perfect print” for the stairwell, I found that Urban Outfitters had quite the fabulous selection of affordable art prints.
I love this flag print. I could see it in a playroom or maybe even in a colorful kitchen!

Bianca Green For Society6 My USA Art Print |
This one would be great in an entry foyer. I see it framed over a mint green sideboard or console table flanked by two killer lamps.

Terry Fan For Society6 The Whale Print |
I’d like to add the words – Let go of your fear and follow Him – to the top of this print as it reminds me of the story of Jonah. As a kid, what I took away from the story of Jonah was obey Him or else………… you might get swallowed up by a giant whale. But, as an adult, I’ve realized what the story is really about – listening and letting go of the fear that holds you back. Fear swallows you up – and won’t let you go. But trust sets you free and places you on the path to greatness.
I have no idea what the artist had in mind when creating this, but that’s the beauty of art – it’s found in the eye of the beholder.
Do you have any favorite online sources for affordable art prints?
they always have great art and home decor! i love the "only warm fuzzy feelings allowed!" ha ha!
