May – The Highlights

How is it even possible that yet another month flew by?  I’m really hoping that June takes its sweet time as I’m truly enjoying having my littles home with me.  That whole we-don’t-have-to-get-up-before-8 isn’t half bad!  We’re just one week in, but I think this might be our best summer ever.  We have a pretty awesome vacation scheduled, and one of our house dreams is going to happen this summer too!  More on all of that coming soon.

I always feel like I’m moving at a slug’s pace because projects take me forrrrrreeeevvvver to finish, but these monthly round-ups remind me to enjoy the process as things do get done  – eventually.

I made the case for bold wall color, and I loved hearing your thoughts on the subject.  Opening up about personal stuff on the blog isn’t always easy, but sharing this story was definitely cathartic.  Your reactions via comments and email were so uplifting and if the message comforted even just one of you then the uneasiness was worthwhile.

Thanks to the outdoor extravaganza parties I got a bunch of projects done in my backyard including planting our vegetable garden, sprucing up the potting bench and painting some cute polka dotted window boxes.

I bragged about my dad and showed off the swing set/playhouse he built for my kiddos.  And I shared the awesomeness of the Paleo Baking Company’s yummy and easy cupcake/muffin mixes.

Last but not least I shared two simple teacher gift ideas, and I gave you my best tip for growing your blog.
