Quick and Handy Measuring Equivalents

If you’ve been around here for any length of time then you already know how much I love me a quick and easy project.  I especially love a quick and easy project that simplifies daily life.

All I could think when I finished this easy chalkboard paint project was – why on Earth didn’t I do this sooner?!  Having these measuring equivalents on the back of the pantry door makes cooking and baking so simple.  No more googling how many tablespoons are in 1/4 cup on my phone with messy baking hands.
This project only took about 30 minutes and cost zero dollars as I already had the chalkboard paint on hand.  I used a chalk ink pen because I don’t plan to erase these measurements.
I also added a little chalkboard paint on the bottom of the other door to add inspirational quotes.
I lined the top of the door with cork back in January to pin recipe print outs and magazine clippings of recipes that I want to try.

These little pantry doors are totally working double duty now!  Yet another reason why I still love chalkboard paint!  Have you done any quick, easy, life-simplifying projects lately?

  • Love th !! I did a chalk board last fall. However, it has streaks from my paintbrush and the chalk doesn't want to go on very well (the chalkboard paint seems…shiny…for lack of a better word). What did I do wrong??
