Yesterday I showed you how I made my cooking and baking life easier by taking about 30 minutes to paint the back of the pantry door with chalkboard paint in order to make a measurement equivalents chart. The little project I’m sharing today only took about 10 minutes and has definitely been logged under the why didn’t I do that sooner category.
You kind of have to squint to see it in the picture above, but I backed the cabinet with wrapping paper (that I picked up in the dollar spot at Target a year ago). This was totally one of those hmmmmm-what-should-I-do-while-I-wait-for-the-pumpkin-cookies-to-bake projects. There are a lot of those kinds of projects at this time of year (I’m addicted to pumpkin everything!).
Is it weird that I now look for reasons to open the pantry just to look at the pretty pattern?
I used thin command strips (the kind you would use to hang a poster) to adhere the wrapping paper.
It’s funny how something so silly and small can brighten your day.
And P.S. Justin’s almond butter is legit – just sayin’.
It may seem silly to “decorate” a pantry, but I’ve found that when I take the time to make an organized space – cabinet, drawer, closet, whatever – pretty I do better job of keeping it organized. And when it’s a matter of just 10 minutes – why not?
Have you done any 10 minute projects lately? What helps you to stay organized? Are you guilty of doing random projects while you’re baking too? #pleasesayyes
Love this! It seems like every time I open a cabinet, drawer or closet to get something, it turns into a 10-30 minute organizing project. I have that wrapping paper too!
