January Favorites

I love sharing my favorite things with you all! But you already know this. 😉 Rather than waiting until the end of the year, I’ve decided to share my favorite finds once a month. And in January, I discovered and rediscovered some really awesome stuff!

1. This bed warmer has changed my life. Not being dramatic at all. Life-changing. I said what I said. At the end of a cold winter day, it feels like melting into a warm hug. This dual-zone heated mattress pad is perfect for my husband and me because he is rarely cold (like he wants the sheets to feel like ice cubes) and I am always freezing (even in the summer because he keeps the AC on blast). I seriously do not know why I waited so long to get one of these, but I have never slept better!

2. Did you know Victoria Beckham created a clean beauty brand? Yeah, neither did I, until last month. You all, these eyeliners are the best liners I’ve ever used, and the colors are beyond gorgeous. I started with the Bronze, and I loved it so much that I ordered the Bordeaux and Ash colors as well. They glide on so smoothly and give you a shadow liner look, which I really love.

3. I’ve started back at Pure Barre. I’m still doing Pilates a couple of times a week, but I wanted to add in something else. And I’m really loving it. After injuring my back last year, I feel like I’ve been somewhat out of the fitness game for a while. And now that I’m slowly getting back on that horse, I’ve been adding some workout wear to my wardrobe. And I’ve fallen back in love with the JoyLab brand at Target. Which I’ve always liked, but it just hadn’t been on my radar because I wasn’t exercising as much. Anyhow, if you’re looking for affordable activewear in fun colors and prints, I highly recommend checking out this line. These leopard print leggings are so fun that I bought them in both colorways!

4. Even in Charleston it gets cold enough that we run our heat almost constantly. And nothing sucks the moisture out of your skin like forced heat. And my skin has been so dry this winter, but this Avene Recovery Balm has been a real skin saver! I use it as a leave-on moisture mask a few times a week and it has helped so much!

*As a quick side note, if you’re a skincare enthusiast, you might want to sign up for my beauty newsletter! I’ve changed them to a video format this year. And they will only land in your inbox quarterly, so it’s not something that will junk up your email. This quarter I shared five winter skin care tips, and I did a deep dive on hyaluronic acid and shared why it’s not really all that it’s touted to be during the winter months. If you’re a fellow beauty ingredient nerd, go sign up! I think you’ll love it!

5. I’ve fallen back in love with my beach waver. I did a little purging last month, and I cleaned out a bunch of my hot hair tools that I wasn’t using. And there at the bottom of the pile was my beach waver just waiting for me to rediscover. I don’t know why I ever stopped using it? The automatic wand makes curling my hair so easy! And it gives me soft beach waves that last for days.

6. Last but not least is this terrycloth makeup headband that I’ve been using at night when I wash my face and in the morning when I’m putting on my makeup. It holds my hair back and keeps my hairline from getting wet. I love how thick it is and how comfortable it is to wear. You can see it in action in my winter skincare routine highlight here.
