This is not a drill! YOU ALL! I’ve been a Beautycounter consultant for something like 5 years now, I think. I’ve kind of lost track. 😉 Anyhow, the point is, in all the years that I’ve been a consultant I have never, NEVER, seen a free gift with purchase promo this good! Starting today, October 18th, through October 25th, when you spend $150, you will receive a FREE limited edition Bright Side Duo set (a value of $75!) which includes my two can’t-live-without, absolute favorite Beautycounter skincare products!

I’ve shared my love for these two products many times over the years, both here on the blog and over on my House of Beauty Instagram. I know that every beauty brand on the planet sells a vitamin C serum and some kind of leave-on peel. And honestly, because I’m such a skincare nerd, I’ve tried a lot of them. But I always come back to these two because of what they’re made of – because INGREDIENTS MATTER! And Beautycounter has struck gold with these two formulations.

The quick rundown on Vitamin C is – there are a lot of different forms of vitamin C. Some forms of vitamin C can be really unstable (I’m looking at you L-ascorbic acid) which from a consumer standpoint means spending a lot of $ on a serum that will lose its potency (when exposed to light and air) and render it useless before the bottle is even half empty. Ugh.
Some forms of vitamin C can also be really irritating to skin. And in general, when it comes to vitamin C skincare products, a higher percentage doesn’t always equate to better results but rather it often leads to more irritation.
However, vitamin C is ESSENTIAL to a good skincare routine. It’s a powerful antioxidant and a collagen production booster (insert praise hands). Plus, there are studies that show it boosts the effectiveness of sunscreen! I’m not a medical anything; I’m just a skincare enthusiast. But I 100% believe that everyone should be using vitamin C on their skin every day, along with sunscreen (which is the MOST important ingredient in any skincare routine).
The reason Beautycounter’s All Bright C Serum has me hooked is that it’s formulated with a 10% blend of two stable forms of vitamin C, 5% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate and 5% Bis-Glyceryl Ascorbate. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is lipid/fat-soluble, which basically means it can penetrate the skin better than L-ascorbic acid and other water-soluble forms of vitamin C. But it also has a neutral pH which makes it more tolerable to the skin than other forms. (What good is a more potent vitamin C if your skin can’t tolerate using it every day?)
The All Bright C Serum gets 5 stars from me! I’ve been using it for years now, and it has helped me to get my hyperpigmentation under control.

Moving on to the peel. I’ve referred to Beautycounter’s Overnight Resurfacing Peel as a skincare game-changer since they first introduced it. Because that’s what it is!
It’s a leave-on peel formulated with both alpha and beta hydroxy acids that work to clear away dull surface cells to reveal fresh, bright, healthy, radiant new skin! I don’t know a single person who has ever used this product and not wanted to sing its praises.
In case you didn’t already know, Glycolic Acid is your BFF. But this peel also includes malic and lactic acid as well as salicylic acid, and those acids are fun to party with too! 🙂
This peel is meant to be used like a treatment product, you start out using it just a couple of times a week and you can work up to using it every other day. This one treatment product will make all of the other products in your skincare regimen work even better.
Beautycounter’s Overnight Resurfacing Peel is the real deal. Potent but gentle which in skincare – especially when we’re talking about exfoliating acids – is a winning combo!

These two products are like peanut butter and jelly! C Serum during the day and the Peel every couple of nights, and your skin will be so happy and bright!
*This Free Gift With Purchase Promo ends October 25th, and then Beautycounter has another set they’ll be offering as a free gift from the 25th to the 31st. But I don’t think that set is as great of a deal. I mean, it’s a good set, but it isn’t as high of a value as the Bright Side Duo.
You can check out all of Beautycounter’s new gift sets here. P.S. Their new Cherry red lipstick is a winner! It’s the color I’m wearing here.
