Okay, technically the powder room walls are not purple. They’re Plum Dandy by Sherwin Williams. But whatever you call this color, I’m in LOVE!

I’m really glad I went with a lighter shade than what I was originally thinking because during the day when you pass by this windowless room you can appreciate the wall color even when the lights aren’t lit.

This is my first time ever playing with a shade in this color family, and I’m obsessed! This color is just so delicious! And I love the way it makes this vintage mirror really shine!

I know these crappy iPhone photos aren’t the best, but it’s week 4 of this challenge which means it’s crunch time. And I just couldn’t stop and bust out my good camera. But these photos do at least give you a good feel for this yummy color. I went with a flat for the walls and a semi-gloss on the crown. I used my beloved urethane trim enamel for the trim, and I have one other fun project in this little powder room where I plan to utilize it as well. More on that coming soon!

This color against the metallic ceiling is literally everything! I can’t love it more! I opted to paint the crown for a seamless look, but I’ll be leaving the base and trim around the door white because the bottom of these walls will be getting white subway tile.

That color is so beautiful!
