And wow! Look at what a dramatic transformation this would be!

And how dark brown walls would look according to ChatGPT…
I mean, just look at how much the art pops against a chocolate brown backdrop!

Also, isn’t it wild how realistic this looks? I’m not sure if I’m impressed or afraid.
Anyhow, the funny thing is, as many of you already know last week I was trying on the idea of bringing in a new bedroom rug, but with a dark color on the walls in here I think I’d like to keep the current layered cowhide rug situation as is.

Because I really dig the dark, moody walls with the contrast of the white cowhide.

I’m not sure how other people are using AI, but trying on paint colors with ChatGPT has become one of my new favorite hobbies. Even if it isn’t a truly accurate depiction of how a paint color will ultimately look in a space as in real life there are obviously a number of factors that affect the way paint reflects light, it is truly so wild to me how real the images look. And I find that it does give you a really good idea of how everything else in a space will look with a paint color change.

And the bonus is it literally takes seconds! No fancy editing skills required. You just upload a photo and tell it what you want it to do ~ “paint the walls dark brown and the leave the window trim white”.
Poof, it’s like magic!

“Now paint the walls and the window trim dark brown.”

This paint color try on really has me thinking about heading to the paint store…

I mean, I haven’t picked an actual paint color yet. Although, because I’ve already created a whole home paint color palette (which is something I wrote about in the paint chapter of If These Walls Could Talk) I’ve already narrowed down my options to two swatches, both of which would look great and flow with the rest of the paint colors throughout my home. So….

I’m feeling pretty confident about a wall color change in here! Stay tuned.
What are your thoughts on using ChatGPT to try on paint colors? Think I should just leave the walls white or are you also on team bold and moody in a bedroom?
