Gluten Free Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups gluten free flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl beat the butter and sugars.  
  2. Add eggs, water and vanilla; beat until blended. 
  3. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well. 
  5. Shape the dough into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 
  6. Preheat oven to 375.   Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin.  Roll out dough and cut into shapes.  
  8. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes.  Let cool before icing.
