I pinned this to my “Let’s Do This” board a little while ago.
I mean really – how cute are these?! Martha (we’re on a first name basis) has the instructions and patterns right here if you wanna make these cuties. Her method calls for iron on transfer paper – pretty simple really, but I wanted to play with my fabric makers.
I’ve seen a lot of super cute trompe l’oeil t-shirts in the kids & juniors clothing departments lately (crewcuts – i hate you but i love you), but sometimes the price tag on a t-shirt, a kids t-shirt mind you, can be a bit ridic. So, I picked up some uber cheap more affordable solid colored t-shirts at Targay and had some fun doodling.
I think doodling on t-shirts might be my new favorite craft. It’s seriously so fun. When you’re done drawing you just use a piece of white paper (I used printer paper) and an iron to set your pattern, this makes it washable. I was going for a “a kid drew this” look – at least that’s what I’m saying now. 😉
I had fun forcing my kids to have a stand-in-front-of-the-garage-door photo session.
ADORABLE! Your little girl is quite the model, love her whole outfit! I may need to get my fabric markers out today. Great inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend.
