Hey all! Thanks so much for all of your sweet anniversary wishes! We celebrated with a nice dinner on Saturday night and a relaxing Sunday with the kids.
Today I’m concluding the dining room disaster saga. You may remember the hot mess I was left with after a frame fell and knocked down everything in it’s path.
I took it as a sign and decided to change things up a bit.
I bought these mirrors, that are made to hang on the back of a closet door, at Target for about $5 each………
and sprayed them with chalkboard paint.
Then I hung them with heavy duty command strips.
This is one of my favorite quotes!
Stacking these smaller door mirrors to create a large scale chalkboard piece was not only more cost effective but it also adds a bit more interest. Total cost for this project was around $25 for the mirrors and spray paint – not too bad, especially considering the scale.
And you might have also noticed I hit up the Nate Berkus Collection at Target.
I just had to have these chevron jars! The horseshoe art was another super easy diy project. I’ll share the deets later this week.
Have you turned any cheap mirrors into chalkboards?

You are such a crafty little genius! I love the mirrors and also the jute around your chandelier…I have a feeling it did not come that way 🙂
