1. A bunch of you all asked about the dress I was wearing for our Kauai vacation family photos. It’s that banana dress I talked about a few weeks ago. And it’s on sale right now!
2. We’re getting another dog! As you know we lost our sweet Prince back in December of last year, and since that time we’ve been showering our other old man, Jake, with extra love and attention.
After a great deal of talking, thinking, researching and praying we’ve decided to add a new little guy to our family. Thanks for all of your Instagram and Facebook suggestions on a name! We’ve decided to call this little guy…….
Gandalf. We’re total Lord of the Rings nerds; and when our sweet standard schnauzer is full grown he’ll have a beard just like Gandalf so it was sort of perfect! Ha! He’ll be here sometime in September. I can’t wait! Seriously, how cute is that face?!
3. A friend sent me a link to this post a few weeks ago and it really hit home for me. I’ve suddenly realized I myself am in what is referred to as “the sweet spot”.
4. I just got home last Saturday from Kauai, and I’m already headed back to the airport this Sunday. Say what?!

Thanks for sharing the sweet spot post. I'm so there. It got me all teary-eyed. Holding on tight to this moment. I can already feel my 12 year old veering off the sweet spot just a little bit. 🙁 I think I'll still get hugs and snuggles from him for another 2 years. And at least I've still got the little ones.;)
