I’ve become slightly obsessed with pom poms. I heart them in a major way. I mean what’s not to love about little colorful puffs of cuteness?! They’ve recently inspired a bunch of simple, easy and fun craft projects around here.
I’m always on the hunt for craft projects I can do with my kids, especially at this time of year when we’re homebound quite a bit because of the cold winter weather. These pom pom Christmas trees make for a fun little afternoon craft.
The kids had a lot of fun making these little Christmas trees for their bedrooms. And I loved that I already had all of the necessary supplies on hand.
Those garland pipe cleaners can be found at most craft stores at this time of year. (I found them at Hobby Lobby.) You can always just use regular pipe cleaners as well. The best part of this project is that the kids were able to do this one completely on their own with absolutely zero help from me.
I cut the garland pipe cleaner pieces down to size ahead of time, so all they had to do was glue them to the cinnamon sticks with craft glue. Then they used the pom poms as ornaments.
Once the was glue dry I had them stuff votive holders with pom poms to plant their cute-y little Christmas trees. They’re so fun and colorful!
Next up is the pom pom peace sign my girl made for a little gallery wall we’re putting together in her bedroom. You can find the super easy tutorial over at Infarrantly Creative.
This next super easy 2-second project is my personal favorite. The kids didn’t really help with this one though because I used a hot glue gun to adhere the pom poms. These pom pom paper clips make the cutest bookmarks!
You already saw the pom pom magnets I made for the instagram frame in my Christmas kitchen.
Last but not least are the tote bags we made for the kids teachers for Christmas. Again the hot glue gun did the trick.
We stuffed them full of fun goodies that I’ll share more about tomorrow.
