A few months ago I bought a NutriBullet, and it has greatly improved my smoothie making process. I’ve become slightly obsessed I have to admit, but seriously, this thing amazes me it blends so well! My smoothies have never been so smooth!
I’m a big time lover of berries – all berries – strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, but strawberries and blackberries are my two favorites. With berry picking season upon us, I thought I’d share my favorite paleo berry smoothie. This one has a lemon kick which is especially perfect for this time of year.
Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh sliced strawberries
1 medium size banana – frozen
2 handfuls of blackberries (you like my precise measuring don’t you?)
2 tablespoons (or more if you prefer) of fresh squeezed lemon juice (you can also try lime)
1/2 cup of refrigerated full fat coconut milk (keep the can in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours, then use the hardened part on the top first, it makes for a delightfully creamy smoothie!)
*you can add a little raw honey to sweeten if you like
Put everything in your blender of choice, a NutriBullet if you’re smart 😉 and enjoy!
Are you a big fan of berries? What are your favorite fruits?
This sounds delicious! Our frig is stocked with fresh berries from the farmers market. We're big berry lovers, too. We had blackberry bushes right near our house growing up and I so miss picking them fresh off of the vine. I look forward to whipping this yummy smoothie up.
