Hey friends! It’s time for another one of our summer style soirees! This time we’re celebrating Princess Diana.
Feel free to get caught up by checking out the Audrey and Jackie soirees. If you’re new around here these soirees are all about pulling inspiration from these amazing style icons to create anything under the sun – a room design, a project, a tablescape, an outfit – anything goes!
For this Princess Diana inspired soiree, I decided to give my own special princess a bedding update with a royal twist.
I gave her whole bed a new look just by shopping the house. The black & white ikat print shams and the black & white striped lumbar pillow used to live on the guest bed. It pays to be addicted to black & white as it goes with everything! 😉 I also switched her white coverlet and turquoise quilt. The turquoise quilt had been folded at the end of the bed, but for a quick summer update I folded the white coverlet at the foot of the bed. It also helps that the quilt is reversible; the other side is a pretty bird print. It’s nice to have some different options for different looks without having to go out and buy something new. You can see how her bedding used to look in this post here. (The quilt and chevron pillows are from the old Dwell Studio line at Target.)
The last and best part of this little bedding update is the little dress-up crown I tied around a pillow with some ribbon.
I love the way this little crown sparkles during the day adding the perfect amount of fun and whimsy to her bed.
I just love little changes (especially no cost ones) that make a big difference! Her room is such a happy, girly space!

That is just darling! I love being able to use things already on hand. One lucky little girl.
