gift guide for book lovers

Happy Monday friends!  With turkey day almost upon us we’re days away from gift giving season, so I thought it would be fun to kick off a gift guide series!  Once a week I’ll be sharing some fun, affordable finds for very specific recipients, and I’ll also be sharing a few simple and easy diy gift ideas for those of you who would rather make than buy a gift.  Today I’ve rounded up some great ideas for the book lovers in your life.  Because I myself am a book worm (see my reading nook here) I’ve got the inside scoop on what your book-loving-reading-obsessed friends would most likely love to be gifted this Christmas.  Basically this guide could be viewed as my very own personal wish list.  *hint hint to the hubs*
gift guide for on the go reading
As a busy mom I find that I read quite a bit while I’m on the go.  I also very much look forward to road trips when I get to sit and read in the passenger seat for hours on end.  I myself prefer reading a real book with actual pages as opposed to an e-reader, but if I ever made the switch this personalized needlepoint case would definitely be on my wish list!  (You will not believe the price!) I take my reading books with me everywhere I go, so a cute tote bag to keep everything organized is a must.  During the winter months fingerless gloves make it easy to use your hands while keeping warm.  When I came across this Bella Bookshelf line from Kate Spade I think my eyes popped out of my head!  These items are just too cute!  The pencil pouch would also make for a great little makeup bag.  I loved the travel coffee mug so much I couldn’t wait ’til Christmas!
(Local friends  – I got this travel mug at Joseph-Beth.)
gift guide for the book lover's home
This print from from etsy shop LuluSimon Studio would look great in a gallery wall (especially for the little readers in your life….I’m thinking of adding it to my daughter’s room).  I don’t believe you can ever own too many beautiful books, and the rifle paper classics are absolutely gorgeous!  I also don’t believe you can ever have too many copies of Anne!   Your Jane Austen loving friends will flip for this beautiful print!  It’s so pretty!
Hands down my favorite place to get lost in the pages of a book is at home.  I love a lazy weekend morning with a warm cup of coffee in a cute mug in hand, a comfy t-shirt, stretchy pajama pants and a cozy pair of socks…….add a fire and some snow on the ground outside and I’m in reading heaven.  Then as soon as 5 o’clock rolls around switch that coffee mug for a glass of wine and I’d call that the perfect weekend!
Do you have any book lovers on your list this year?  Or are you planning to forward this gift guide as a hint to someone?
