Friday is my favorite day, especially during the winter, because every Friday that passes means I’m one Friday closer to the warm weather that spring will bring! 🙂 SO yay it’s Friday! I have big project plans for the weekend and am ready to get this 3 day weekend started!
1. Speaking of warm weather, did you hear the news about Lilly and Target?
Um, who wants to camp out with me on April 18th?! 😉 No, but seriously…….who wants to?
2. As I was reorganizing the project gallery I stumbled on my valentine mantel from last year, and so I think I may do some mantel tweaking this weekend. Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
3. Do you all ever watch Flea Market Flip on HGTV? I’m kind of obsessed with that show! Seriously, if you haven’t watched it you need to check it out. I heart HGTV in a major way!
4. So when I talked about meal planning last week a bunch of you all said that your main issue with meal planning is that you have a hard time coming up with a week’s worth of meal ideas at one time. When I first started doing it I would often have the same issue, but the more you do it the easier it becomes. To help inspire some meal ideas I’ll be posting my family’s weekly plan over on Facebook every week. This was last week’s plan. I know you all aren’t gluten free or paleo but hopefully these plans will inspire some meal ideas.
5. Last but not least, my 10 almost 11 year old boy has requested a room redesign. He said he’s ready to close the chapter on the Star Wars era…………noooooooooooo!
He has been very involved in the planning and this weekend we’ll be tackling some projects together. I’m excited but also a little sad. Why do they have to grow up? If you want to follow along behind the scenes I’ll be sharing some progress pics on instagram.
I have never planned my menus. Gasp. I got an extra calendar this year and have written my menus in there for the past ten days. I'm amazed at how easy it makes my days. Plus, at the end of the month, I will have all the ideas for the next month. Such a simple thing, but it's taken me 40 years to come up with it.
