Hey friends and Happy 4th of July! We kicked off our holiday weekend by hosting a garage sale yesterday, which was a fun way to do some much needed purging. My daughter really got into the whole “selling her old stuff” thing (she even had her own money box – and priced all of her own items to sell), if you follow me on instagram you know what I’m talking about. 😉 #thatkidishilarious
Anyhow, today I’m popping in to share one of my all time favorite looks for summer – white on white!

As much as I love a pretty dress, I totally dig wearing same color separates. You just have so many more outfit options for mixing up different looks! I buy same color seperates a lot when we have special events to attend for this very reason. I get more wear out of a skirt and top than a cocktail dress.
And white on white for the summer is just so fresh and clean. Plus you can go totally neutral with the accessories or have some fun with pops of color!
One of my fav colors to add to white in the summer is blue. That combination just screams summer to me.
I’m slightly obsessed with the cut of this skirt. It’s all party in the front; business in the back. 😉 It’s an easy one to dress up or down…….and it has pockets which I love. Some online reviewers weren’t happy about the wrinkling situation with this skirt, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. I personally think it adds to the laid back, casual vibe. 🙂
I bought this blush leather clutch a couple of years ago at TJMaxx and I’ve found that the color goes with so much. It’s a fun one to bring out on a date night.
While I love white on white in the summer, I equally love it in the fall. White basically goes with everything so it’s easy to change the accessories to create a whole new look. I know “the rules” are no white after after Labor Day but I think rules were made to be broken.

I found these vintage cowboy boots at local shop, Street Scene. That is hands down one of my favorite local shops for vintage goodies for both my wardrobe and home. But while they carry lots of vintage amazingness, they also carry some new goods as well………..
…….like jewelry. They carry vintage and new jewelry. Years ago when I stumbled across this lucite bow ring I flipped. *And local friends I think they have a pink/blush version in the store now. *
So if you’re a Lexington local be sure to keep Street Scene on your radar as they are always bringing in new lines as well as selling fab vintage stuff. In fact, if you follow me on instagram you know they recently started selling Brixton hats, which are my fav for head gear.
I hope you all have a fab Fourth of July weekend with your friends and family! As always these posts aren’t intended to make you feel like you need to buy something new but rather to hopefully inspire you try some new things with what you already have. But, I have to say this weekend is one heck of time to add some good staples to your wardrobe as the sales are CRAZY GOOD!
The white top pictured above (has limited sizing left so I also included a similar one) and the white skirt are both on sale with an extra 50% off with code BRGOBIG – which makes this skirt a steal at $25! Plus it comes in black and red too! (I may need the red one!) 😉 The denim jacket is 40% off with code GOLDMINE.

Have a great one friends! I’ll be back next week with some exciting news!
