I don’t do a ton of decorating for Halloween, but I do like to give our front porch a festive look for the holiday. Â Our neighborhood really gets into the spirit, and trick-or-treating is quite the event around here. Â No lie, we see at least 100 kids on Halloween night, maybe more. Â It’s quite the event, and I just love seeing all the little treaters in their costumes. Â I prefer to keep my Halloween cute-spooky not overly scary or creepy. Â Here’s what I came up with this year.
CrOwS, wItCh HaTs & BrOoMsTiCkS, oH mY!
I added some fall leaves to my green wreaths. Â Found the crows at Walmart and used command strips to adhere them for a more secure hold. Â They’re made of sturdy paper not foam, so they probably won’t make it to next year.
The broomstick was a HomeGoods find from last year, and I love that it lights up at night! Â But the witch hats (found at Target) hanging from the plant hooks are my absolute favorite thing! Â I busted out a needle and thread and hung them with fishing line, so they look like they’re floating. Â And when the wind blows…..it’s like they’re flying….just love!
The felt banner was also a Walmart find. Â Y’all they have some pretty cute stuff in their Halloween decor section this year, and it’s all super inexpensive.
Night Vibes
Dusk is my favorite time of day at this time of year. Â When the sun in setting and the porch lights come on it just feels kind of magical.
October is my favorite month of the year! Â Do you decorate for Halloween?
