Caught My Attention 7

Happy February 1st friends!  Sorry I’ve been a little MIA on the blog this week.  I injured my left shoulder during a workout on Monday, and I’ve basically been down for the count ever since.  I’m really hoping it’s nothing too serious and that a weekend of rest will help it to heal.

January felt like the longest, quickest month ever.  If that makes any kind of sense.

Here’s what caught my attention…..

Zenni Optical 

After having Lasik surgery over 10 years ago, I found out a couple weeks ago that I’m once again going to need glasses.  Although I Mainly just for driving at night though, so I didn’t want to invest too much.  I asked for recommendations on Instagram Stories and many people suggested I check out Zenni Optical.  And I could not believe the prices!  I ordered 3 pairs and including shipping my order total came to around $50!

I thought for sure, based on the super low prices, that the quality would not be great, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived.

I really did not need three pairs.  But when they’re so inexpensive it’s hard not to indulge a little.  If you’re in the market for a new pair or want some backups or sunglasses, I highly recommend.  *This is totally not sponsored.  Not that I would ever promote anything just because it was, but I just thought I’d throw that little fact out there.

YOU on Netflix

Okay, so I binged the entire first season in two days.  And I really loved it.  It’s apparently based on a book that I had never heard of before.  And season 2 is already in the works.  But I told a friend about this show, and she watched it and rated it a B+.  So maybe it’s not a homerun for everyone, however I was thoroughly hooked.  It gets a solid A from me.  Have you seen it?

Johnny, Moira, David & Alexis

I mean who else is hooked on Schitt’s Creek?!  Um, I started watching this show right after the 1st of the month and am now current on this 5 season show.  So, yeah, totally love it!  It’s one of those shows that is just so hard to truly explain, but these characters…..they are just so unique and special.  It’s really hard not to totally fall in love with the Rose family.

This sweatshirt is on my want list now.

10 Things to Tell You Podcast

Laura Tremaine just launched her 10 Things to Tell You Podcast, and I’m so pumped to have something new to listen to while running errands!   This week’s episode was all about her reading habits……, everything from when she reads, what she reads, how often, for how long….just all about reading.

I think it’s really helpful to hear about how other people fit things they enjoy into their everyday lives.  I myself fought reading on a device for so long, but one day a couple years ago I finally caved and downloaded the Kindle app on my phone.  And I find that having the app on my phone makes it so much easier to fit reading in when I’m on the go because I always have my phone with me but don’t always have an actual book with real pages with me.

Anyhow, I enjoyed the first episode so much and am really looking forward to seeing what other topics Laura has planned to cover on this new podcast!

Fun Fashion Finds

Last but not least I fell in love with this Joie blouse!  I know it’s hard to see it in this picture below, but how fun is this red lips print?!  There are only a few sizes left (because it’s deeply discounted), and it also comes in black.

The leopard coat is an old thrifted find, and it’s one of my all time favorite scores!

While these black heels aren’t a January find (I bought them a few months ago), they are on sale right now!  And they also come in a really pretty nude which would be perfect for spring.
