Every time I share a picture of my home office on Instagram I get questions about the source of my burl wood desk.

It’s actually a dining table that I use as a desk. But when we move into our seventh house, I’ll use it as it was intended. And I can’t wait to see it in the dining space of our new house! Here’s a progress shot of the dining area that I just snapped on my phone a couple nights ago after the crystal chandelier was installed! We’re getting so close to move-in day I can hardly believe it!

As for this table’s source, I bought it a few years ago at a local home furnishings store, GDC Home. It’s made by Hooker Furniture, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere online.

However I did find this beautiful and very similar looking dining table at CB2! And it’s an incredible price too!

Burl wood is probably my favorite kind of wood. I just LOVE it! And since I know so many of you love burl too, I rounded up a few other favorite pieces.

How great does that CB2 dining table look paired with all white chairs?! Loving that high contrast mix!
I totally dig the smaller burl accessories like the box, tray, coasters and picture frame because they provide such a great way to play in design without a lot of commitment. And FYI – Framebridge offers a burl wood option!
For that don’t have burl wood commitment issues, can we talk about this amazing console table?! I mean, holy wow, this piece is sooooo good! Would be amazing in an entry foyer, right?!

Are you on team burl?
