Happy October 1st, friends! Today I’m joining a group of my favorite blogging gals on a fall porch tour, so grab yourself a cup of pumpkin spice and get cozy! As many of you long-timers know, October is both my wedding anniversary and birthday month. And I, like my childhood-favorite fictional character, Anne of Green Gables, am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers! I shared phase one of my fall porch decorating on Monday, and today I’m officially ushering in Halloween!

My witch hats are back, and I even added a few more to mix this year!

My goal with my exterior Halloween decor is to keep it whimsical so as not to scare any little ones. And I feel like the floating witch hats make the scene come alive. They really are so much better in person as they flit around with the wind!

Coming up the stairs, you’ll meet Mrs. Boneafonte.
Is it weird that I knew from the moment I hung up this porch swing that I would put a skeleton on it for Halloween? Y’all, I scored this 5 footer at a thrift shop! Second-hand skeletons for the win!

Not even kidding, those big furry spiders have made me jump a couple of times when I’ve walked out to the mailbox. Ha! Their poseable legs make them look almost real. I found them at AtHome this season, and they’re much less intimidating when they’re lit up at night. They have little purple lights on them that are super cute!

Raise your hand if you’re ready for a little socially-distanced trick-or-treating?! #maskupwitches 😉
