Good Monday morning to you friends! Hard to believe we’re already just days away from October 1st! I’m planning to bust out all of my Halloween decor today! But before things take a turn toward Spookyville, I thought I’d share how I’ve been embracing fall on the front porch for the past couple of weeks. Welcome to my favorite lounge spot!

Ever since I built the porch swing, our front porch has become my favorite little spot. And as the mornings have gotten a bit chillier, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my morning ritual of coffee and reading out here. I’m all about some cozy layers this time of year and pumpkin spice coffee (yes, I’m totally that girl)!

I kept it pretty simple in the decor department, sticking to seasonal items that don’t need to be stored away. I’m a big fan of plaid and velvet because they feel warm but not overly season specific.

I admittedly went a little crazy on the front steps. But I wanted to create a grand fall entrance. Because we live in an elevated home (#lowcountrylife), much of what’s by the front door isn’t visible from the street. So decor on the stairs is a must, in my opinion. 😉
Aren’t the jack o’lantern planters fun?! Found them at Lowe’s and the mums came with them. I love that I can reuse these!
I’m planning to plant all of these mums over in a side yard area where they’ll get lots of sunshine. But I’ve never planted mums before, so I’d love any planting and care tips!

I’m pretty sure this porch swing will go down as my favorite home project of the year! I just love sitting out here so much!

Alright y’all, now I’m off to get my Halloween on!
Outstanding work! Enjoyed your writing!!
