Spring Things & Upcoming Projects!

The weather is starting to warm up, and it has me looking forward to all the spring things and a few upcoming projects!

I’m excited to get outside and get to work! Last spring and summer I focused on our screen porch, and this year I’m excited to start tackling a few backyard projects! There’s a reason I’ve never shared it here on the blog. It needs some TLC, to say the least. So I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty. I’ve started by ordering this power washer I’ve seen so many people rave about, and I’m hoping to test it out this weekend. You know you’re old when you’re exciting plans for the weekend include power-washing. 🙂

I also have a fun idea up my sleeve for this coffee table! But I’m not positive I’m going to have time to get to it this weekend…….I’m starting to feel like Will Ferrell in Old School…..I’ve got a pretty nice little Saturday planned, but I don’t know if I’ll have enough time. 😉

Anyhow, our backyard stays shaded for most of the day, so I’ve been doing lots of research on shade loving plants that grow well in South Carolina. If you have any recommendations, I’d love for you to share! I’ve never been much of a flower person, but I’d really love to have a flower garden and learn more about gardening in general.

I’m just so ready for all the spring things! From outdoor projects to fashion, this spring feels so hopeful! It’s not just pollen in the air this year. I feel like we’re all starting to see hope rising, and after last spring and all that this past year has brought, that feeling is so welcome!

spring things
  1. Loving all things acrylic in accessories lately! And my current color crush is marigold. How fun are these earrings?!
  2. Love me a shirt dress with a belt!
  3. These planters are super lightweight even though they look heavy. The shape and color makes for such a great combo.
  4. I almost bought a similar pair of canvas boots from Dolce Vita, but these are a fraction of the price! And the quality is really good too!
  5. Lounge clothes aren’t something I see myself giving up any time soon. And again, give me all the marigold!
  6. Love the texture and light shade of this rattan planter.
  7. I bought this round rattan bag a couple years ago, and I use it so much more than I thought I would. It holds all my essentials and goes with everything!
  8. Are you seeing a theme? I’m really into rattan in the warmer months. And these earrings are too good!
  9. I wish the flower came with this gorgeous urn because how pretty is this orange and grey color combo?!

I hope wherever you are, you’re feeling hope rising too. To sunshine and warmth and hopefully brighter days ahead! Spring is coming, and I’m excited!
