Nothing like being halfway through May and finally getting around to posting my favorite finds of April, but better late than never, right? And believe me, I know this picture below is the cringy-est, infomercialesque photo I’ve ever shared; but I’m head over heels in love with this fiddle leaf fig plant food, and I don’t care who knows it!
Winter was hard on Shirley (I name my plants), and I thought for sure she was a goner. As a last-ditch effort, I gave her a really good pruning and started giving her this liquid fertilizer every other week. And now she’s birthing new leaves like crazy! I’ve counted 12 new leaf babies so far, and she just keeps pushing out more!!! If you’ve got a fig that needs some TLC, I highly recommend this plant food! Just follow the directions on the bottle, and let nature blow your mind!
Switching gears. I discovered some really great beauty finds last month!
This Retinol Eye Cream is $11.49, and it is incredible! Like, shout it from the rooftops good. Seriously, I can’t get over how well it works for the price! No irritation, redness, or peeling, as is typical with most retinol products. It is also formulated without synthetic fragrance which is something I always try to avoid. I’ve been using it at night for the past month or so, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the effect it’s had on the lines around my eyes!
I’m not a makeup artist, but I do consider myself a connoisseur. And I believe wholeheartedly in the power of good brushes. Y’all, this Ilia Beauty Complexion Brush will rock your world. Trust me. It makes concealer blend seamlessly into the skin. They should call it a makeup wand instead of a brush because it’s like magic!
And this blush brush, for those of you that wear cream blush, is an absolute must!
I highly recommend adding both brushes to your makeup tool kit.
Last but not least, I treated myself to this oval curling wand, and I love the soft waves it creates in my hair. The bonus is that the waves hold for days!
