What the What?!

With the kids out of school, I have less computer time.  Yesterday I checked a few blogs in the morning and then I was off to run errands with the kids.  When we got home we spent the rest of the day outside in the backyard.  I sent the kids to bed at around 9:00 p.m., and I didn’t come back in until after 10 p.m.  I left my phone in the car when we got back home, so I hadn’t checked my e-mail since around 5:00 p.m.  Why am I telling you the boring basics of my day?  Because at 11:00 p.m. when I sat down in front of the computer to check my e-mail and write my blog post for today, I opened an e-mail from one of my Haven Conference roomies, Sarah aka The Thriftress.  Here’s what it said:

Girl I saw you on Apartment Therapy!  You rock!  That headboard is amazing.  Congrats!


I think my head might have popped off at that very moment!  I’ve been reading Apartment Therapy for what feels like a lifetime so when I clicked over to see the featured post I was beyond thrilled!

Honestly, I still can’t believe my eyes.  This little blog brings so much joy to my life.  I’ve made so many wonderful friends – many of whom I’ll be meeting in real life in just a few weeks at Haven – and I feel so blessed to be a small part of such a wonderfully creative and supportive community!
