Instagram is my favorite form of social media. I feel like it really captures the essence of life. That sounds pretty deep for a random Tuesday doesn’t it? But, seriously, what I love about instagram is the way it allows me to really capture the every day moments. Those moments are the ones I never want to forget and instagram makes it possible for me to hang on to them. I especially love to print my instagram photos and display them.
Do you have the Printicular app on your phone? (I mentioned the app here a few months ago.) If not, you need to download it like yesterday. It allows you to print your insta-photos directly from your phone to your nearest Walgreens – and your prints are ready for pick up in no time at all! I sound like an infomercial, and I’m not even being paid or perked to sing their praises! I just love them that much. I’m a fan of quick and easy – what can I say?
To display a few of my recent prints, I grabbed a thrift store frame and a couple pieces of scrap wood. I cut the wood pieces down to size and painted them with magnetic primer. Once dry I glued them to the back. I used a few vintage-earrings-turned-magnets I made a while ago to display the photos.
Easiest project ever, and I love the way this special display brightens up the mail center in my kitchen.
I also used printicular to print the insta photos I used in my time out corner. Get the app now if you don’t already have it – you can thank me later.
Feel free to follow me on instagram (Carmel_ourfifthhouse) for behind the scenes peeks at my every day life. Are you on instagram? Do you love to print your photos too?
How fun is this. Love the idea. Thanks. Hugs, Marty
