I’ve been wanting a mirrored console table for like ever. I wanted something simple with clean lines – nothing too fancy. I also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg, but I wanted a good quality table. Basically I wanted the best of both worlds……..which is always easy to find right? Ha! In a design-obsessed woman’s dreams good quality furniture….. in your preferred style….. at an affordable price….. is easily sourced. However, in the real world it takes forever to find such gems.
I looked everywhere under the sun, kept checking HomeGoods/TJMaxx/Marshalls, frequented the usual online hot spots – Overstock/Joss & Main/One Kings Lane/etc. and kept coming up with nada – nothing – zilch. I had just about given up hope that I’d ever find a simple, cleaned-line mirrored console table at a price that I could afford.
Then one night I decided to virtually visit Target. On a whim I typed in “mirrored console table” in the search box and lo and behold………….
I found exactly what I was looking for…….and it was on sale……….with free shipping!!! I couldn’t bust out my debit card fast enough. I was so amazed by their entire collection of gorgeous mirrored furniture – every piece is reasonably priced! Yep, Target does it again. Why didn’t I think to check Target sooner? They carry a bunch of items online that are not sold in stores. (Note to self: Don’t forget that Target carries a number of items online only!)
When this giant box showed up at my front door I was filled with mixed emotions – happy to have my beloved table in my home – fearful of how hard it would be to put together. I was having Ikea allen wrench flashbacks, but to my surprise, while it did require an allen wrench, this table was easy to put together. I had it up and ready to be styled in less than 30 minutes!
I’m just slightly over the moon with my new console table. It’s so sleek and shiny, and I love the way it brightens up this area behind our dark leather sofa. I’m especially fond of mixing textures so I added some baskets on the bottom shelf to house my favorite magazines.
These painted baskets were a quick diy – no taping or measuring just a quick hand painted stripe look. I’m all about the quick diys in the summer months.
In other Target news I couldn’t resist this gold tray. I filled it up with a few summer vacation mementos – corks from special date nights and shells & driftwood from our beach vacation.
So that’s the story of how I learned that it’s always best to check Target first. Are you an online Target shopper? I’m in the actual store so often that I almost always forget to check them out online. Have you ever bought any furniture from Target? I’m pretty impressed with the quality of this piece, so I’ll definitely check out their furniture selection again in the future.
This is not a sponsored post. I just love Target – but really who doesn’t?!
Your new table looks great! Every time I walk into Target there is a new temptation.
