So a good long while ago, like maybe a year ago, I bought my daughter the cutest set of horse sheets from Target. They came in this cover – fabric envelope – pouch – what on Earth do you call this thing?
I think that maybe some really cool people keep these pouch thingies and actually store their sheets in them. You know those people that know how to properly fold a fitted sheet – yeah those people. I’m not one of them. You all know I roll my sheets because I can’t fold them to save my life. But I did hold on to that pouch thingy – because I just knew that one day I would use it to make something fabulous.
But almost a year passed by and this poor thing was just sitting in my laundry room. My mission to decrapify almost made me throw it in the trash. But you all know how much I love horses, so when I was asked to participate in this fun trash to treasure party, an idea was born and that cute little pouch was saved!
I already had all the supplies needed.
I used a very technical method of hot gluing grosgrain ribbon to the back for straps.
Then busted out the fabric marker and stencils to monogram it.
Now my girl has the cutest little backpack! And to think I almost threw this thing in the trash!
Check out all the other cool trash to treasure projects!
What an adorable backpack! And I'm with you on the what to call those sheet holder things – and the rolling of the fitted sheets!
xo,
Shannon
