If you follow me on instagram then you already know that project Christmas photo back drop was a success! Fueled with inspiration, I put together a simple backdrop while the kids were at school on Friday. I basically shopped the house and rummaged through my north pole closet to come up with a fun backdrop that didn’t cost a thing and didn’t take long to put together.
Since this was purely for the sake of a fun Christmas card photo I didn’t want to spend any money at all, so I shopped the house. I used a striped throw for the backdrop – just taped it to the wall with packing tape. Then I layered in a few decor items – all things I already had – and called it done! I’m all about the easy, not too involved kind of projects.
When the kids got home from school on Friday I snapped a bunch of photos.
I can’t really figure out which picture I like the best. Maybe this one?
Or maybe this one?
I even managed to get in one with them!
This really was so fun, and if we ever have a Christmas party I am totally going to set up a photo booth! I always thought it would be a super-time-consuming task, but really it didn’t take long at all. I just moved a table out of the way and taped some stuff up on the wall. That’s my kind of diy!
Have you ever set up a photo booth/backdrop? Are you already planning out your Christmas cards too?
So cute!! I was actually a wee bit ahead of the curve this year in getting our family photos taken (yay!). Excited to order my cards and get them out the door – a feat in and of itself.
