5 christmas photo backdrop ideas

Happy Friday friends!
I may not be ready to start decking the halls just yet, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have Christmas on the brain just a little.  My favorite part of the holiday season is giving and receiving Christmas cards.  I just love getting something other than a bill in the mail – who’s with me on that?!
I’ve been dreaming up fun ideas for this year’s Christmas card, and I’m totally digging the idea of a fun photo backdrop!  Inspiration for a diy Christmas photo backdrop is plentiful in blogland.  These are 5 of my favorite ideas, and they all look fairly simple to create!

Click the links for all the deets.  I think any of these ideas would not only be great for Christmas card pictures but would also be so fun for a holiday party.  Photo booths make for some super fun and hilarious party memories – especially when there are props involved – we’ll just leave it at that.  ðŸ˜‰

So, if you want some behind the scenes action of my attempt to diy a Christmas photo backdrop, follow along on instagram this weekend.  Have you come up with a game plan for your cards this year?  What company do you usually use to have your cards printed?  Last year I made a card with PicMonkey and printed them at CVS for just $.14 a piece!  Hoping I can get another deal like that again this year!

And in other awesome weekend news – we have a new sponsor here at Our Fifth House!   Welcome to Stacie Ann!

  • We used the chalkboard wall in our daughter's room a couple years ago for pictures. They were priceless!! The girls drew word bubbles and poked fun at each other.

  • Great photo ideas! Now I'm wishing I saw this before I ordered our cards from Shutterfly – paid a bit more than 14 cents each :-/. But I did get 40% off! Also, I just ordered the Elf quote towel for my son's Kindergarten teacher – I think I'll make a basket with something from each of the 4 food groups: Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corns & Syrup! 😉

  • That "big books" pillow is cracking me up! Headed to Stacy's Etsy site now… Also, it's not too soon to be ordering Christmas cards! I helped my parents do theirs last weekend and have mine all planned but not yet executed. 🙂
