Yes, that’s right this year we have not one but two trees!
I showed you our new 9 footer in the living room in yesterday’s Christmas home tour. I decked it out in red, white and gold. What can I say really – I’m a traditionalist at heart.
I love the look of a real tree, but I don’t enjoy the needles everywhere. To beef up my fake tree I added in some fresh magnolia leaf clusters from our backyard.
I didn’t get too crazy with them – just added in a few here and there – but they really do give our tree a nice lush look.
All of the ornaments we’ve had for years, and I diy’ed a few new ones.
You can find the easy tutorial over at The Chic Site.
I used a mexican blanket as a tree skirt.
Okay, now let’s head down to the basement to check out the white tree that that kids decorated all by themselves. This is the fun tree, and it has a bit of a retro vibe too!
We spend a lot of time snuggling on this couch watching movies, and having a tree down here is so so nice. I just love it! And the kids are so proud of their tree trimming job!
White trees are so great for really showcasing your ornaments. This is the tree that houses all the handmade ornaments the kids have made over the years.
I love the way kids decorate christmas trees. Ten ornaments on one branch – why not?! Ha! I love it!
We used a santa hat chair cover as a tree topper. I used the other one on the gold chair in my entry foyer.
The felt retro tree skirt I bought years ago…….so long ago I don’t remember where I bought it.
What is it about a Christmas tree that just brings out the little kid in you?!
It’s magical isn’t it?
Sharing my two trees with Megan-Honey We’re Home and Courtney-A Thoughtful Place as part of our Christmas Cheer in the Blogosphere Parties.
Hope you join the fun or just head over to check out all the tree inspiration!
