Well it’s Monday again. The good news is…..Friday is Valentine’s Day! I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day. Any holiday that condones and encourages the showering of loved ones with dark chocolate covered strawberries is my idea of a good time!
My kids always get really excited about their class parties and love putting together valentines for their classmates. My daughter and I put these little treat bags together over the weekend using my Zink hAppy, Annie’s fruit snacks and some cello treat bags from the Target dollar spot.
As you can see there wasn’t much to these. I made the labels with my hAppy and used a heart punch to cut out the main message. This was so super simple and easy! While my Zink hAppy made this quick, you could easily pull this off with label paper and a standard printer. I can’t help but love a cheese-y punny valentine message.
My son has asked that we not do anything “too cute” this year – boo! So, he picked up a pack of skateboard cards from the dollar spot at Target and will be filling a treat bag with rolos with a message that says – “I like the way you rolo.” C’mon, like I could stop myself. He may not want anything too cute, but he didn’t want me to put the bags together without him. He had soccer this weekend so we haven’t had a chance to put his bags together yet. I wanted to share our plan in case any other 4th grader moms out there are looking for a “non-cutesy” idea.
Do you love Valentine’s Day treats and cards as much as I do?! Here’s a peak at the valentines we’ve made in the past.
Super cute ideas. I miss the kids Valentines…they were always my favorite!!
