I’ve long loved the look of leaning ladders in a home. They just marry form and function so well. Add to that they can be used in a million and one different ways from holding towels in a bathroom to creatively displaying Christmas cards around the holidays. I’m currently using one in my closet for storing a few of my heels making the best use of the wall space where a hanging rack or shelves wouldn’t work.
I’m also using one I recently picked up from a favorite local home decor shop, Celadon, to store and display a few throw blankets in our living room.
There is something about a leaning ladder that makes a display look more fun and special. Case in point, how fantastic is this diy copper pipe ladder aka the cutest accessories work horse ever?!

Or how great is this idea using hooks to make a ladder totally functional in a kitchen?! Perfect for kitchens short on cabinet space!

I mean this entire bathroom from Jenna Sue Design is perfection, but the ladder over the commode is like the cherry on top.
This one from Pottery Barn has a similar look to the one Jenna Sue diy’ed for her guest bathroom and would be perfect in a small entry foyer, mudroom, bathroom or closet.
As I said the options are endless for using leaning ladders in your home.
You can find them everywhere from HomeGoods to consignment and thrift stores, or you can get your diy on ala Jenna Sue and Natalme, referenced above.

Thank you for this post. I am thinking about this for my daughter’s dorm room where there is never enough closet space esp for bulky winter coats and would wo well for girls who don’t like to use hangers.
