2016 – Top 10 Favorites

I just couldn’t close the chapter on 2016 without a little walk down memory lane.  2016 had it’s share of ups and downs.  Here are a few of my favorite highlights – in no particular order.

I’d always put off reading Me Before You because I’d heard mixed reviews, but I’m so glad I read this one before seeing the movie!  They cast the movie so well!  Emilia Clark was the absolute perfect Louisa!  If you’ve seen the movie but never read the book I highly recommend going back to read the book.  The movie was great but it does skip over some pretty big things.

We did a lot of traveling in 2016.  The four of us did a cruise, spent some time visiting family in California, and did our annual long weekend trip in Gatlinburg, TN.  Though without a doubt, as much as I love traveling with my children, I’m glad the hubs and I planned a few mom-and-dad only weekend getaways.  We had a great time in Savannah and New Orleans, but my favorite trip was to San Antonio.  Maybe because it was over Valentine’s Day weekend, but I really loved that city!

I may have mentioned my love of blush a time or two over the past year.  😉  If you recall I even did my Christmas tree in blush and red.  I fell hard for that color in 2016, and I don’t think I’ll be getting over that color crush any time soon.  Come on, how amazing is that headboard, those marble pillows…..and the mongolians I scooped up over the holiday break!

I basically live on LaCroix, coffee and wine.  😉   And how I never watched a single episode of Gilmore Girls until this past year feels like a crime or treason, but at least I’ve seen the light and corrected my ways.
