Bar Cart & Easy Summer Cocktail

I finally figured out that little wall space between the end of the kitchen cabinets and the adjacent dining area.   I’ve always felt like this little space needed something but couldn’t really put my finger on what.

Rather than forcing myself to find something, I just left it blank and hoped that the something it needed would find me.  Of course that something found me at Target, my second home.  😉

Hello Cute Little Bar Cart

I’d always thought a bar cart would looked cramped here, but as it turns out this one is just the right size for the space.  I’m still playing with the art and styling, but I do love this canvas piece my 10 year old daughter painted.  She calls it “Lemon Splat”.  I love that kid!

The top piece is by local Charleston artist Sam Sidney.

This little bar cart is quite the workhorse, and it’s going to be perfect for entertaining. For everyday it’s nice to have a spot to display some of the hubs vintage ice bucket collection.

I’ve got her all set up for Memorial Day weekend!

Before I sign off for the long weekend I want to leave you all with the best little easy, summer cocktail recipe!  Seriously it’s so, so good and refreshing!  And SOOOO EASY!

The Perfect Summer Cocktail

Many thanks goes to my friend Suzanne who introduced me to this simple, delicious and refreshing cocktail!  She’s a genius for this one!  If you like pina coladas, you will love these!  And you’ll much less guilty about drinking them.  Dare I say these are good for you?!  😉

 CLP Recipe:  (named for it’s ingredients)

1 can Coconut Lacroix

1 small can of Pineapple juice

One shot….or two (whatever your pleasure, no judgments) of either RUM (I like Mount Gay Silver) or your favorite Vodka

*I prefer these with Rum, but Vodka is good too!  Pick your poison.  😉

Mix and pour over ice!
