Many of you know my home office has been in the making for quite some time, as in well over a year. Finally crossing the proverbial finish line on this design project during the month of December meant I was obligated to style her up for Christmas right?! I just couldn’t resist busting out my white tree!

(velvet blazer, velvet peplum)
I’ve never had a whole room to myself in any of our previous homes, so just having a dedicated office space feels really special. I think that’s one of the main reasons it took me so long to pull this space together. I just wanted to take my time and be super intentional about every decision and every piece I added to this space.

Balancing Feminine Details with Modern Lines
There’s no doubt this room has a very feminine vibe. To keep the scales from tipping too far into girly territory I added modern elements like the burl wood table and graphic black and white rug.

Holiday Glow
I’ll be sad to see the tree leave after the holidays. It’s so nice to work amidst the glow of Christmas lights.

It’s Always the Details
As much as I love this whole room it’s the little details that make me smile the most.

A little lucite box to hold washi tape? Yes please!

My daughter made me this lipstick artwork, and I’m absolutely crazy about it! I found the lucite easel at a local boutique, and it could not be more perfect for displaying this special piece.

It may have taken me over a year to whip this room into shape, but I’m super happy with the way she turned out! This has quickly become one of my favorite rooms in our home.

Sources
The white sideboard is one I’ve had for many years, and I just recently gave her a little makeover. The little black side table was a vintage find. The light fixture, desk/table and some of the accessories were sourced at local shops. Everything else you can find below. Except the rug, from CB2, is no longer available. Palm print by Teil Duncan. Bottom right abstract in the gallery wall is by Raven Roxanne.
