Gifts That Give Back

Today, as you may already know, is Giving Tuesday.  Started back in 2012, Giving Tuesday has become a global movement that inspires the spirit of giving and generosity.  And in celebration of giving back I’m sharing 5 of my favorite brands that give back all year!

1. FEED

They create good products to help feed the world.  All of FEED’s products are produced under fair-labor conditions. They work with artisans in Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Kenya, El Salvador, and Peru to provide sustainable livelihoods to underserved populations. Through the sale of their artisan-made products, they provide meals in the countries where they were produced.

The cool thing about their website is that under each item for sale you can see how that purchase will help in meals provided.

2. WeWOOD

WeWOOD collaborates with Trees For The Future to plant a tree for every wood watch purchased.  Sounds counterintuitive to use wood to save trees right?  The materials that go into these watches come from exotic reclaimed and recycled wood from around the world to create eco-friendly products.

Who’s surprised this leopard print is my favorite?  😉

WeWood

WeWOOD has planted 604,475 trees across the globe since their reforestation program began in 2010.

3. Ivory Ella

A portion of Ivory Ella’s proceeds are donated to Save the Elephants.  My daughter did a report on elephants in 4th grade and has had a soft spot in her heart for these amazing animals ever since.  Ivory Ella sells cute clothing as well as accessories!

4. Sudara

Every Sudara purchase supports job creation and skills training for women in India who are at risk or survivors of sex trafficking.  They are currently offering 50% off sitewide with free shipping on orders over $100!  Their collection of pajamas, robes and lounge pants is just so beautiful!

Noonday Collection

Noonday Collection is a socially responsible business that partners with artisan businesses in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. They collaborate with 31 Artisan Businesses in 14 countries to design a collection of handcrafted jewelry and accessories. They develop these Artisan Businesses through fair trade, connecting them to a global market, empowering them to grow sustainably and helping them to create dignified jobs for people who need them.

Noonday Collection

To create a marketplace for their Artisan Partners, Noonday invites women in the United States to launch their own businesses through their Ambassador Opportunity.  My friend Shon is one such ambassador.

Noonday Collection has been a favorite of mine for many years!  Today, in honor of Giving Tuesday,  many of their pieces are 60% off!
